  5. The Fixed Assets module tracks general descriptive information about assets,
  6. their valuation, and where they are kept. It maintains complete prior-year
  7. depreciation information for each asset and maintains the latest depreciation
  8. tables supplied by the IRS. It supports ACRS, MACRS, half-year conventions,
  9. maximum yearly amounts, and other depreciation methods and options. The module
  10. also tracks both the date an asset was acquired and the date an asset was
  11. placed in service (date and period calculations are based on the date an asset
  12. was placed in service.)
